Introduction to School of Nursing


Our school of nursing was established in 1956, which is based on three years education program after that time student is prepared to be a safe practitioner of the nursing profession. In addition one-year midwifery program as specialization in other had been approved with Pakistan nursing council. Later on we have started male general nursing program in the year 1994.

History of School of Nursing


1st September 1956 a nurse's training school as started. Miss Edna York was the first principal of the school of nursing at Karachi Adventist Hospital. The classes had begun in 1956; in 1961 two classes have finished before they got around to have graduation. After that they had started midwifery classes in March 1962 with the help of Dr Robin. (Gynecologist) Miss Margaret Rockia and Miss Ellen Carter
